Periodic Table UpdatedLos Alamos sponsors an online periodic table of the elements. It was one of the first on the web and was originally conceived of as a resource for middle school and high school students with the intent of educating young people and steering them towards careers in science. Many other tables are now available, but the LANL table still received nearly a quarter of a million visitors this February alone. In 2011, Chemistry Division staff released an overhauled version of the old table. The updated version includes many corrections, as well as new information on important heavy elements such as Copernicium, Californium, Einsteinium, and others. March 2011
