Catherine Jones Kate is currently working on a field-scale tracer test at the Vadose Zone Research Park at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory. Her interests are in vadose zone fate and transport of contaminants. Her background is in geochemistry but she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in hydrology. A primary goals of her current research is to explore the effects of changing saturation and flow regimes on the subsurface chemistry.
Kate also provides analytical support for other projects within the geochemistry team. Her analytical capabilities include: ion chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography, and inductively-coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy. |
