Revised 9/14/05

C-ADI is a leader in the development and application of chemical instruments and novel diagnostics. We take a systems approach to physical chemistry and physics focused on National Defense and Security problems. The work involves teaming inside and outside the Laboratory to devise practical solutions. C-ADI efforts include an eclectic mix from nanoscale fabrication through molecular chemistry to entire security systems. The group’s capabilities cover ultra sensitive detection, molecular studies of transuranics, remote analysis of trace atmospheric plumes, and chemical and radiological decontamination systems.
